It all depends on what GameGuard and NCSoft employees think about mod/3rd-party soft. For example, I use logitech's KB and mouse, and of course I use Logitech Gaming Software, which is a "3rd-party program of any kind". Reading this answer, I can say that we can be banned for anything. And guess what answer I got? Something like "You can try, but we can ban you for this". Recently I wanted to try 3rd-party software to rebind gamepad buttons (game doesn't allow you to re-bind RT for example) and decided to ask a support about this idea (is this bannable or not).
Using mods doesn't mean that you will be banned right at the moment you used it, but it increases your chances to get banned, because mod is a modification of game files.
